Returning to Sentosa Golf Club’s recently revamped Tanjong Course on 29th Sept 2022, the Singapore Structural Steel Society (SSSS) – Continental Steel Challenge sent 144 golfers including 7 professional golfers pitting their skills on the greens.

SSSS – Continental Steel proudly sponsored 7 local professional golfers that include Abdul Hadi, Jesse Yap, Choo Tze Huang, Gregory Foo, Marc Ong, Nicklaus Chiam and Vikkash Babu, competing for the Top Prize of SG$2,500 with a guaranteed minimum prize money of SG$500.  This was a first of its kind corporate sponsorship for a group of local professional golfers to compete together at such an event.

Main and co-sponsors this year include DBS Bank, UOB Bank, OCBC Bank, Anderco and Kong Hwee, with strong support from industry partners. Continental Steel continues to be the title sponsor since the inception of this Golf Tournament since 2005.

Mr Dave Park Young Jun won the Tournament for SSSS – Continental Steel Golf Challenge, while the two professional golfers Hadi and Yap both shot a 7-under 63 with no bogeys to share the top position in the professional category.

The event ended on a high note with a networking dinner amongst society and industry members.
